Radiation therapy treatments currently force the patient to be completely immobile and endure other aspects that are not always understood well by the patients (full bladder, iv, loud alarming noises, etc.), which can cause stress during the exam.
The project is to use the Virtual system, a simulator dedicated to patients and their loved ones. Thanks to the virtual 3D projection before the treatment, the patient will understand the radiation therapy procedure that they will have. Each noise, each position, and each step will be explained in detail and thus understood, which will reassure the patient. The patient will then be less stressed about undergoing the treatment and will be more compliant.
