Obstetricians and teams of doctors and nurses are sometimes faced with extreme emergency situations that must be managed by experienced specialized personnel. Training is the best method for preparing multidisciplinary teams (midwives, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, etc.) in efficient and coordinated action that ensures the safe treatment of patients and their babies.
The project entails developing team training for difficult births. Using a simulator mannequin (mother/baby), regular training sessions will be offered for doctors, nurses, and university students. This project will be carried out in coordination with the HUG’s SIMULHUG program. It improves treatment and is a testament to the standard of excellence in obstetrics care at the HUG.
