The Beau-Séjour Neuro Rehabilitation Division regularly receives patients who are agitated and vulnerable following severe brain damage, head injuries, or tracheotomies. Especially during the phase when they are waking up, these patients should have comfort and a level of monitoring adapted to their confusional states that involve elevated risks of complications.
The project entails equipping a patient room at the Beau-Séjour Hospital with removable padded walls, a bed with a foundation that can be raised when administering care, and an electronic monitoring system via blood pressure monitor. All of this allows these patients to be monitored with increased vigilance for increased safety.
