context

The Hyperbaric Medicine Unit at HUG welcomes thousands of patients each year for specialized care. These patients, often followed over the long term, deserve a setting that reflects the excellence of the medical care they receive. Today, we have a unique opportunity to redesign the reception area and turn it into a warm, modern, and reassuring space. At HUG, we aim higher: to transform waiting time into a positive experience. This project promises comfort, dignity, and serenity, perfectly aligned with our mission of care.

project

The project aims to provide patients with a waiting and preparation area that reflects the excellence of hyperbaric care. The changing rooms will feature modern, secure lockers to ensure comfort and privacy. The waiting room will be transformed into a bright and uplifting place, with a luminous ceiling simulating natural light, ergonomic seating, and screens displaying calming visuals. Every detail has been carefully designed to create a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere. This new environment will turn waiting time into a moment of relaxation, reducing stress and encouraging serenity before therapy. More than a renovation, it is a step forward toward human-centered and compassionate care, at the heart of hospital innovation.
