Overtaking Cars in a TaxiBike!

Context

Because of construction on Sautter, a street near the HUG that is a main throughway for public transportation, the bus stops for the hospital were moved more than 500 meters further away from the hospital.
This made access difficult for patients and their loved ones.

Project

The project is to implement a free shuttle service for patients and their loved ones to mitigate the obstacles that the construction project has caused for them. Two taxi-bikes operated by professionals were tested for two weeks. The results were so conclusive that the Private Foundation of the HUG was asked to extend this project over the next 8 months.

This project is done in corporation with TaxiBike Genève, Hospice Général, Genève Roule and Geneva City.
